Hello Stranger

Oh dear, it’s been a while hasn’t it? I’ve been neglecting this little online diary of mine over the last few weeks so today I’ve decided to bite the bullet, get back on the horse, use several other cliches that I can’t quite draw to mind and get writing again. Not much has been happening of late, I’m reaching the end of an ongoing project at work, one which I’ll be very glad to finally get out the door. I can’t really show it to you yet, but as soon as it’s public I’ll post a link.
Some exciting news, I’m off to WWDC in San Francisco at the end of June. Crazily the cost of the flight drops to under half in I fly out two days early and spend the weekend there, so it’s cheaper to just get two more nights at the hotel. If I stay in the hotel I want to I’ll have decent internet access so I’ll be uploading photos and reports of my first trip to the USA. I’m not quite sure what I’ll do with myself, all alone in San Francisco for a whole week, so if anyone has any suggestions of things to do then they’d be gratefully received.

You’ll have company at the event - oh look, and at the same hotel, too! fancy a chance meeting him and setting things straight?

Hmm…. well we’ll see, maybe I’ll bump into him at the conference after all.
I actually wouldn’t mind bumping into him, hopefully this is a new period for Jaron where he has the confidence to be himself and to be liked for himself. Most of the people he duped actually enjoyed chatting with him from time to time, myself included, so maybe now he’s free of all the lies he can get on with his life. I think in the end Jaron was as relieved that the truth was finally out as anyone else.
In fact, if Jaron’s reading this, then I hope he’ll soon get his own jaronbrass.com site back online. I think there are a lot of us who’d be keen to find out how he’s doing and how he’s managed to get himself back on track.
In my book you get points for being honest, and you get even more points for being honest about the hard stuff.

Well seems like Jaron didn’t make it in the end. He wasn’t anywhere to be seen at the W and I didn’t manage to catch up with him at the conference either. In fact unless he was in two places at once, his photo blog seems to suggest he was nowhere near WWDC during the conference.
Oh well, maybe he couldn’t make it for some reason. I wonder what that reason could be….

I’m sorry I missed it Lee… In the end, I decided not to go because of my obligations to Apple here in FL. You’ve managed to keep up with my photo blog, and on 30 Jun there were 2 images posted with a bunch of boxes… The Broward School District (the account I’m attached to as an SE) is rolling out Apple’s 1 to 1 learning solution. 30 Jun saw the delivery of close to 6,000 iBooks at 5 school sites in the district. Because of that, and the planning and strategising required for the deployment, I felt my presence was needed in FL and not at WWDC. In the long run, I have access to all of the ADC sessions via Apple’s IS&T web site — and through ADC itself. It would have been nice to have met new people — and to try and take a trip to the Apple campus so I could see my friends and buy some things — but I’m not disappointed.
I regret not being able to meet you face to face and to have the chance to clear things up, but work does come first. Maybe next year?

Interestingly enough in his photoblog he also lists a bf for the past two years. Is he upto his old tricks again?
